As the 4th branch organization of Maratha Vidya Prasaraka Mandal, AD. Sri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Graduate College was established in 2005. Initially only science department was started then in 2006 arts and commerce departments were also started. The college had 40 students during its inception period, this number is increasing year by year currently. 530 students are enrolled and studying in the year 2023-24. This is due to the valuable education of the college's skilled lecturers and the governing body of MVPM.

The science department, which was started in 2005, was discontinued in 2011 due to various reasons. However, under the leadership of Hon'ble Shri M N More, the science department will be restarted from the academic year 2024-25.
For the last two years, 50% discount has been given to the poor and talented Maratha students in the total college fees.
Not only that, but also those who have made special achievements in curricular and extra-curricular activities

.It is a matter of pride that the students of our college despite being from rural areas are giving 90% result every year not only in academics but also in cultural activities and sports activities like wrestling, kabaddi, volleyball and individual games.

5000m of the proud sportsmen of our college, Raju Bandivadda. He participated in the hill running competition and won the first position at the taluk, district and state level and was selected for the national level and brought glory to the institution and the college. Ku. Lakshmana Dharwad and Kho Kho Team won first place at Taluk level, second place at district level and two students were selected for state level and brought glory to the institute and college. Students selected for state and national level are given concession in college fee by the institute.

Having celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2015, the college has now completed 20 years and is one of the top colleges in Dharwad, having achieved great things in a very short span of time. The main aim of this university is the physical, physical and academic development of the students, and our institution is making continuous efforts to shape the bright future of the students by providing them with all the valuable guidance they need to get a better job in their future life.
